Dr. Maria de Lourdes Cruz Argueta

She completed her degree in Medicine and Surgery at the National School of Medicine and Homeopathy of the National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico City, graduating in 2012. Subsequently, she pursued a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Hospital 1st of October in the same city, through the National Autonomous University of Mexico, finishing in 2016.

In 2017, she completed a master’s degree in Neurological Electrodiagnosis accredited by the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). During the period from 2018 to 2019, she undertook a training stay in the Neurology Service at the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital, specializing in the Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring Unit under the supervision of Dr. Alicia Martínez Piñeiro. Later, in 2019-2020, she completed the Master’s Degree in Clinical Research Applied to Health Sciences at UAB, focusing her final project on Acoustic Neurinoma.

Between 2016 and 2019, she was part of the Neurodiagnostic team at the Neurotrauma Clinic in the State of Mexico, where she worked on Intraoperative Monitoring (IOM), electrodiagnosis, and transcranial magnetic stimulation. At the same time, she collaborated with the Naval Military Hospital in Mexico City, participating in IOM procedures for cholesteatoma alongside Captain Mancilla.

Currently, she is a member of the medical team at Miogrup, where she is dedicated to patient care and intraoperative monitoring. Additionally, she collaborates with the Neurophysiology department at Dexeus University Hospital, under the coordination of Dr. Sara Yagüe Jimeno.
